Happy Sunday everyone. The Premier12 tournament started on Saturday with Team USA routing The Netherlands in a 9-0 win that included a scoreless inning from Noah Song and a grand slam from Bobby Dalbec. They’ll be back in action today with a matchup against Mexico that will start at 9:00 PM ET. Red Sox prospect Tanner Houck gets the start for USA today. Meanwhile, the Patriots have a big game in primetime tonight, taking on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens down in Baltimore. That one kicks off at 8:20 PM ET. There is also, of course, football on throughout the day. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
Thing I like today
I like that my alma mater is actually good at a sport! Not many people will care about this besides me, but that is too bad! UMass hockey made it to the championship last year and they are back in that tier for this season. They went into this weekend ranked third in the nation and won two in a row against tenth-ranked Northeastern. Considering we have the worst football team ever assembled and the basketball team has been mediocre-at-best since the Camby days, this is a pretty nice change of pace for me.
