OTM Open Thread 11/27: It is Wednesday

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Philadelphia Phillies Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Wednesday everyone, and safe travels to anyone heading out of town for the holiday. We’ve got a two-headed monster on the Boston sports scene tonight with both the Celtics and the Bruins playing at the same time tonight. In Boston this was supposed to be Kyrie Irving’s return. He will not be playing, though, (surprise, surprise), so now it’s just a Celtics-Nets game. Meanwhile, the Bruins will look to build off their massive performance in Montreal last night in a game in Ottawa. There is some national hockey action as well with the Flyers and Blue Jackets playing at 7:00 PM ET. In the NBA, the Celtics have the early ESPN game with the Lakers and Pelicans getting the 9:30 PM ET slot. There’s also a full slate of college basketball today with a pair of top-15 teams in Oregon and Seton Hall playing at 9:30 PM ET on ESPN 2. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.

Thing I Like Today

In terms of playing style, it’s hard to not be enamored with Celtics rookie Grant Williams. He is a Marcus Smart-esque type of fun player to root for on the court. Turns out he’s pretty neat off the court as well.
