Happy Saturday everyone. MLB’s season may be over, but that doesn’t mean we are entirely done with baseball. This afternoon kicks off the Premier12 Tournament that will serve as a qualifier for the 2020 Olympics. The Red Sox will be well-represented here with four prospects — Bobby Dalbec, C.J. Chatham, Tanner Houck and Noah Song — on Team USA, which is the most of any MLB team. Team USA kicks off their run on Saturday afternoon against the Netherlands. First pitch is set for 2:00 PM ET, and I believe the game will be streamed on Youtube but I’ve been unable to confirm that with Google searches. Elsewhere, the Bruins are back in action after what feels like a month off, hosting the Senators at 7:00 PM ET. There is also college football on all day today with Georgia-Florida being the best game and SMU-Memphis being the big primetime game. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
Thing I Like Today
Sam Miller is as good as it gets in this industry, and as I’ve said before I’ll link just about anything he writes. That remains true, and his look at the length of World Series games was typically outstanding.
