Happy Tuesday everyone. After a four-game marathon on Monday, we have just one game on the docket for Tuesday with the Rays looking to keep their series going against the Astros. With a win, Tampa Bay can force this one back to Houston for a decisive Game Five. They’ll have their hands full, though, as the Astros are opting to use Justin Verlander on short rest to try and close this one out as quickly as possible. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, is starting things off with reliever Diego Castillo. First pitch for that one is at 7:07 PM ET. Meanwhile, there is also some late-night hockey on with the Bruins playing out west. They take on the Vegas Golden Knights in a game that starts at 10:00 PM ET. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
Thing I Like Today
I found this piece from Eno Sarris to be really interesting on Charlie Morton. I won’t give too much away, but essentially the premise is that by looking at the Rays’ righty’s career arch you get a very good sense of the way pitching trends across the whole league have gone over the last decade or so.
