Happy Monday everyone. This is a day just teeming with baseball as we get a second four-game set on the docket. There is a chance that all four series could end today, too, which would not be ideal. The day starts with the Astros trying to finish off the Rays down in Tampa with Charlie Morton taking on Zack Greinke. That one starts at 1:05 PM ET. Then, after a thrilling win on Sunday the Braves are looking to finish off the Cardinals. This one starts at 3:07 PM ET and has Dakota Hudson going for St. Louis. Atlanta has not announced their starter. The Dodgers and Nationals have the third slot of the day with Max Scherzer taking on Rich Hill in a game that starts at 6:40 PM ET. Finally, the day finishes off with the Twins looking to stave off elimination against the Yankees. That one kicks off at 8:40 PM ET with Luis Severino going up against Jake Odorizzi. Meanwhile, there is also some football on tonight if you need a break from all the baseball. The Browns and 49ers are the Monday Night Football game this week. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
Thing I like today
I liked this piece from Matthew Trueblood of Baseball Prospectus on Cardinals pitcher Ryan Helsley and the Tomahawk Chop they do in Atlanta.
