OTM Open Thread 10/23: It is Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today is day number one of my vacation, which means the site is going to be a bit lighter than usual, though we’re not going completely silent. We’ll still have links and the open thread every morning for you, and we’ll have a few other things through the week too. Anyway, I am pre-writing all of these open threads at the same time and am just going to copy/paste it into the next ones.
