Happy Tuesday everyone. For potentially the final time in 2019, we have two baseball games on the docket for today. Things start with a pivotal Game Three between the Astros and Yankees. These two squads played a classic on Sunday with the Astros eventually tying things up with an eleventh inning walk-off blast from Carlos Correa. Now in New York for the first time during the series, Gerrit Cole will be taking the mound against Luis Severino. First pitch for this one is set for 4:08 PM ET. Meanwhile, the Nationals are looking for a sweep in the late game with Patrick Corbin on the mound against Dakota Hudson in a game that starts at 8:05 PM ET. Elsewhere, the Celtics are in action for another preseason game on Tuesday, this time in Cleveland. That one starts at 7:00 PM ET. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
Thing I like today
I included this in Monday’s links but it’s worth putting here again. Evan Drellich has a good look at the public’s perception of MLB right now with respect to their control over one of the most integral parts of the sport: The baseball itself.
