Red Sox at Braves Lineups: Can Rick Porcello give Boston some innings?

Please?

The Red Sox got a win on Monday, and though the final score was a bit more lopsided than the game really was for the majority of the contest, they did what they had to do and then some. The bullpen patched together a solid day, but they had to use a lot of pitchers in this game due to another short outing from Nathan Eovaldi. As a result, it sure would be nice if Rick Porcello could give some length in this game. Not only would it give a bullpen — even an extended bullpen — some needed rest, but it would give Porcello a bit of confidence. He’s going to be a part of the postseason rotation, so they could really use him getting on a hot streak. Unfortunately, with just a 23 games left in the year, he’s running out of time. The good news? Porcello has loved hitting this year, so he’ll get that chance again.

On offense, the Red Sox are going up against local boy Sean Newcomb. The lefty gets into plenty of trouble with his control, so look for a patient approach by this Red Sox lineup to try and draw some walks. Here are the full lineups.
