All in all, the Red Sox have been very lucky with rain this year, particularly early in the season when it seemed half the league was being rained out every night. In fact, they’ve been rained out only twice heading into this week. Oddly enough, both times were against the Orioles. Well, now the Orioles are in town and they’re getting rained out again. With rain in the forecast all night on Tuesday, the Red Sox aren’t even going to try and squeeze the game in, which I’m sure will be appreciated by anyone who has tickets. No one likes sitting in the rain for a couple hours only to be told there will be no game. Anyway, the second game of this series is going to be postponed and they are playing a doubleheader on Wednesday.
Tonight’s #RedSox-Orioles game has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be rescheduled as the first game of a day-night doubleheader, tomorrow, Sept. 26, beginning at 1:05pm.
As the Red Sox point out in the tweet above, it’s going to be a typical day-night doubleheader, with the first game scheduled for 1:05 PM ET and the second at its original 7:05 PM ET. The starting pitching plans haven’t changed either, as David Price is slated to start the afternoon contest and Chris Sale will take the mound for the second game. So, enjoy your night. See you tomorrow for two.
