FanPost Friday - Trade Deadline Shuffle!

OK, it’s time to lay our chips on the table. The Red Sox have already acquired Steve Pearce and Nathan Eovaldi this “trading season”, and the deadline for non-waiver trades is fast approaching (Tuesday afternoon). If Dave Dombrowski has any magic he can wrangle out of our farm system, which presently has no top-100 prospects (according to Pipeline anyway, we’re the only team not to have one), we’ll find out in the next couple of hours or days. I’m not sure which, we’ve seen a lot of trades in the past week. One could happen five minutes before I post this.

That’s why this week, we’re going to ask you get in your submissions as soon as it is convenient for you. Would do no good if the Sox acquired a guy you like, and then it turns out the Sox are done trading.

So the exact question is:

What specific player do you hope the Red Sox go acquire? Why? Is there a player you want the Red Sox to avoid at all costs? Why to that as well. What prospects in the system do you think/hope get it done? Will it be enough to win the division?

I have a few ideas of my own. I hope you all do too!
