Red Sox vs. Twins lineup: Remember this place?

Anyone who does a rain dance is getting kicked outta this bar.

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox
Home sweet (and dry. please. dry) home!
Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox (71-32) look to reclaim some of the three home runs they sacrificed to the gods of rain in Baltimore last night when they start a four-game set against the Twins (47-53) tonight at Fenway Park (7:10 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-network).

About tonight’s game: Brian Johnson (1-3, 3.81 ERA) gets another start in place of the injured Rodriguez, and while Johnson hasn’t yet ousted Drew Pomeranz from a rotation spot, he could take another big step in that direction tonight. He’ll be matched by Kyle Gibson (4-7, 3.57 ERA), who faces a Mitch Moreland-less lineup, one with Blake Swihart behind the plate.

About last night’s game: It didn’t happen! Any memories you have of it are false. David Price did not start. The Sox did not hit three home runs. I did not drink those beers. I’m not hung over!

Forecast: Only a 33 percent chance of rain at gametime. It’s a Festivus miracle!

Today’s reading: Matt has more thoughts on the Eovaldi trade.

A good tweet that seems pretty close to be coming true:
