Salem W 8-4
Tyler Hill, LF: 1-3, 1 BB, 2 R
Brett Netzer, 2B: 3-4, 1 2B, 2 R, 1 RBI
C.J. Chatham, SS: 0-4
Bobby Dalbec, 3B: 4-4, 2 HR, 2 R, 5 RBI, 1 SB
Trenton Kemp, RF: 2-3, 2 HR, 1 BB, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 K
Bryan Mata: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 4 K (79 pitches)
Kevin McAvoy: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K (56 pitches)
Dalbec is covered in flames at the moment in the best possible way. Since July 3, he has six home runs in eight games and 43 total bases. That’s an average of a little over five total bases per game. Perhaps most encouraging is that he only has six strikeouts in that time as well. As someone who lives five minutes from Hadlock Field, I hope there’s a promotion coming soon.
GCL W 4-1
Jecorrah Arnold, SS: 1-2, 1 2B, 2 BB, 1 R
Nicholas Northcut, 3B: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Brandon Howlett, DH: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 K, 1 CS
Zach Schellenger: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
Austin Glorius: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Rayniel Adames: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K
Tuesday was a day of rehabbing relievers down in the GCL. Schellenger was a 2017 draftee who has struggled with injuries since joining the organization. He doesn’t quite have Durbin Feltman intrigue, but he was seen as a potentially quick mover with late-inning upside. Glorius isn’t quite as talented, but he’s put up good numbers as a pro and it’s nice to see him back on the mound

Player of the Day: It’s Bobby Dalbec. Obviously. Do I need to say more?
