The Red Sox (51-27) look to bounce back behind Chris Sale (xx) after Saturday’s dreadful performance against the Mariners (47-30) this afternoon at Fenway Park (1:05 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-network).
About today’s game: Chris Sale (6-4, 2.74 ERA), who notched 11 strikeouts over 7 innings in his last time out, against Minnesota, will get the call against lefty Marco Gonzalez (7-4, 3.80 ERA). Mookie Betts and Xander Bogearts are back in the lineup, and all is right in the world. LOL okay it’s really not, but the Sox lineup is fine!
About last night’s game: It sucked.
Today’s reading: Happy noneday!
