Red Sox at Twins lineup: Will the Price be right at Target?

I blew my chance to use the “Sale at Target” bit yesterday, so I’m making up for lost time.

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Seattle Mariners
THROW IT DOWN, BIG MAN!
Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox (49-25) look to wake up the bats and win their 50th game behind David Price (8-4, 3.76 ERA) tonight against the Twins at Target Field (8:10 p.m., NESN).

About tonight’s game: Price, who is 6-0 with a 2.64 ERA in his last 6 starts, will face Lancy Lynn (4-5, 4.98 ERA), whose best days seem solidly in the rear-view mirror. He’ll be backed by the standard-issue lineup, aside from Brock Holt playing second base, which is... actually kinda standard these days. Logan Morrison, who hasn’t hit a lick this year, will start at first base for the Twins in place of Joe Mauer.

About last night’s game: Chris Sale didn’t get any run support and got blown up by a bad inning and the Sox fell to 6-2. Read Matt’s recap here.

Forecast: 75 degrees or so, one for every homer Mookie’s gonna have this year.

Today’s reading: His Jakeness wrote about the bullpen and you should read it, because if I didn’t link him here he’d be more mad than he usually is.

A good tweet from yesterday:
