The ace will face José Berríos tonight in Minnesota.

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Houston Astros Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox (49-24) square off against the Twins (31-37) in Minnesota tonight (8:10 p.m., NESN) behind Chris Sale (6-4, 2.75 ERA). Read Matt’s series preview here.

About today’s game: Sale will square off against Minny’s young ace Jose Berrios, who’s had an up and down year. Nothing much to report by way of the lineup, outside of Xander Bogaerts locking down the No. 3 spot in the order, with Mitch Moreland hitting fifth.

About Sunday’s game: Eduardo Rodriguez went six strong, Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts went yard and the Sox salvaged a split in Seattle, 9-3. Read Matt’s recap here.

Forecast: A nice night in the Twin cities.

Today’s reading: “A Father’s Gift,” an OTM fanpost from Rick Bentsen. It’s good!
