There won’t be a ton of new tricks tonight in the Pacific Northwest

He’s better than Felix tho.

It’s Cy vs. Cy tonight in Seattle (10:10 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-network) as the Red Sox (47-22) take on the Mariners (44-24) with two now long-tenured Cy Young Award winners doing battle as David Price (7-4, 4.00 ERA) faces Felix Hernandez (6-5, 5.70 ERA).

About tonight’s game: It’s a battle of first-place teams — somewhat inexplicably, in Seattle’s case, but true nonethless — that will stretch through Sunday. Read Matt’s series preview here. Hernandez is a shell of his former self at the ripe old age of, uh, 32, and Price is all over the place, so who knows what we’ll get?

On offense, it’s the standard lineup, but JBJ’s hitting eighth instead of ninth. Hug your children.

About yesterday’s game: Chris Sale did his thing and also got thrown from the game, but yada yada the Sox swept away the Orioles, 5-1. Read Matt’s preview here.

Forecast: 63 degrees and cloudly, Seattle-style.

Today’s reading: Bad Blood, the Theranos book. I’m on vacation this weekend and I’m gonna read it, so we can talk on Monday.

A good tweet from yesterday by us, yeah we said it:
