On June 4th, the 2018 MLB Player Draft will begin. And on June 6th, it will end. 1214 players will be drafted over forty rounds, and countless others will be signed as undrafted free agents or head off to independent baseball, all with the intent of one day playing in the major leagues.
For some players, it is just the culmination of their hard work and effort, as they have their names read on the first or even second day of the draft. For others, it’s a reminder that the odds are against them, and they still have a lot of work to do to achieve their dreams.
The Red Sox have their first pick at number 26, with their next picks falling at 64 and 100. Forty players will be drafted by the Red Sox organization. The question we ask you, is:
Which player(s) do you believe the Red Sox will or should draft? Why do you believe they are a good fit? If you think they will draft a player you don’t like, why are they a bad fit?
We’re going to have a lot of draft coverage, but we’ll make sure the flyby is out on time. Hope to see a lot of responses this time out!
