The Red Seat: Episode 77-The Laser Show is Back

Sick of the Red Sox defense at second base? Yeah, me too, but fear not Dustin Pedroia AKA Laser Show returns today! You might be thinking that last time we saw Pedroia he wasn’t great. He graded out as barely an above average bat who played solid defense. No offense to Eduardo Nunez, but so far this year he has been well below average with the bat and terrible on defense. This is going to be a major shot in the arm for the Red Sox infield. The Sox maintain a one game lead headed into a weekend series vs the first place Atlanta Braves so they will need all the help they can get. Since Pedroia is coming back Nunez is moving to the bench which means a decision must be made on Blake Swihart. Whatever the choice ends up being I sincerely hope it is best for both the Red Sox and Swihart.
