The Red Sox (33-15) look to beat back the Rays (22-24) for the second straight night behind former Tampa Bay star David Price (4-4, 4.38 ERA) tonight at The Trop (7:10 p.m., NESN).
About tonight’s game: Price looks to back up his complete game win against the Orioles with another strong start in Florida, while the Rays counter with their own struggling ace, Chris Archer (3-3, 5.01 ERA). Mitch Moreland’s out of the lineup again, as Jackie Bradley Jr. gets a chance to build upon his two-hit Tuesday night, and Christian Vazquez is in for Sandy Leon and batting ninth.
About last night’s game: Mookie good, Sale good, Kimbrel... good enough. Read Matt’s recap here.
Forecast: Like your grandma’s dank den, but with a baseball field.
Today’s reading: With Price on the mound, let’s revisit Jake’s BP Boston article from Monday on the star’s declining arsenal. Read it here.
