He’ll start against Kevin Gausman tonight at Fenway.

The Red Sox (29-14) play the Orioles (13-29) in the first game of what’s now a four-game series, with tonight’s game being a makeup of an April rainout, at Fenway Park (7:10 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-network) behind David Price (3-4, 4.89 ERA). Read Matt’s series preview here.

About tonight’s game: Price, coming off a strong start, will face off against Kevin Gausman (3-2, 3.18 ERA), the only Orioles starter worth a damn, though Mookie Betts is .414 with 3 homers against him. What else? Jackie Bradley Jr. is finally back in the lineup, playing center and and batting ninth, which means Mitch Moreland rides the pine. Brock Holt also starts at second base, but everything else is normal. The Orioles start Chris Davis, not to be confused with Oakland’s Khris Davis, though their three true outcomes careers are... similar. Also they start Manny Machado, who’s tied with Mookie and two others for the Major League home run lead with 13, but we’ll see what Price has to say about that.

About last night’s game: The Sox solved the A’s behind monster home runs from J.D. Martinez and Xander Bogaerts and Chris Sale pitched well enough in five innings to grab the win as the Sox won, 6-4. Read Matt’s recap here.

Forecast: About 71 degrees at gametime with a 10 percent chance of rain.

Today’s reading: The Collins trifecta! Matt wrote about Hanley Ramirez’s recent struggles here. Given how much he loves Hanley, it must have brought his soul great pain, if he has one.

A good tweet from yesterday:
