Red Sox at Marlins: Happy Sale Day!

The Sox look to win their fifth game in a row and get their ace a much-deserved first victory of the year.

Let’s get a win this time.

The Red Sox look to win their fifth game in a row in Miami tonight when they face the Marli (6:10 p.m., NESN) behind ace Chris Sale.

About tonight’s game: Five days after the bullpen blew a wonderful Sale start on Opening Day, the Sox will look to go nine strong for the big guy against Derek Jeter’s team. The Marlins will counter with righty Jose Urena, who gave up a home run on the first pitch of the season his last time out.

Mookie Betts gets the night off, making way for Eduardo Nunez to lead off and play second base. J.D. Martinez is back and in right field.

About last night: The Sox started slow on offense but eventually found the offense to beat back Miami 7-3 behind a monster Hanley Ramirez performance. Brian Johnson kept the Sox’ string of amazing starts going through an entire round of the rotation. Andrew Benintendi got a base hit, even if it went about 30 feet.

Forecast: An especially clear 75 degree night.
