Red Sox at Angels lineup: E-Rod looks to continue the streak

The Sox can go to a franchise-best 16-2 and win their sixth straight game in Anaheim tonight.

Steady, buddy.
Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox (15-2) look to win their seventh straight game and sweep a three-game series from the Angels (13-5) tonight in Anaheim (10:07, NESN). Life is good.

About tonight’s game: Eduardo Rodriguez (1-0, 3.72 ERA) makes his third start of the year after one bad one and one good one, both full of strikeouts. He’ll be faced by righty Nick Tropeano (1-0, 0.00 ERA) who, per Wikipedia, is from West Islip, New York. Anyhow... the big news is that Shohei Ohtani, who’s DHing and batting sixth, will face down a lefty. Should be fun.

The Sox bring back Andrew Benintendi, who will bat second and play center. Jackie Bradley Jr. gets the night off, Mitch Moreland plays first and bats fifth and Brock Holt is back at shortsop.

About last night’s game: Ho-hum, Sox win 9-0. Read the recap here.

Forecast: More nice-ass weather. And dingers.

A good tweet from last night from our very own account:
