Red Sox vs. Orioles lineup: Can Hector and Hanley push the winning streak to three?

The righty makes a spot start this afternoon at Fenway Park. Hanley Ramirez is back.

Play it again, Hanram!

The Red Sox (11-2) look to again beat back the Baltimore Orioles (5-9) in the second start of the year for Hector Velazquez (1-0 3.12 ERA) this afternoon at Fenway Park (1:05 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-network).

About today’s game: The plucky Velazquez will square off against Alex Cobb (NR), the former Tampa Bay Ray who will make his Orioles debut. Cobb has historically been pretty dangerous when he’s healthy, but the same thing can be said of a Red Sox offense that, predictably, took Chris Tillman to the cleaners yesterday.

In welcome news, Hanley Ramirez returns to the lineup and plays first base. A night after blasting a three-run homer, Eduardo Nunez gets a breather, with Brock Holt moving to second. Tzu-Wei Lin starts his second consecutive game at shortstop and bats ninth, while Sandy Leon will handle catching duties and bat seventh. The only big change for the Orioles is Pedro Alvarez into the DH spot at the ultimate expense of Jonathan Schoop, who gets the day off while Tim Beckham moves to second base.

About last night’s game: Tillman got pounded, Rafael Devers had three hits and the Red Sox won, 7-3. Read Matt’s recap here.

Forecast: High 40s, partly sunny.
