Red Sox vs. Yankees lineup: David Price looks for Boston’s 10th win in a row

He’ll face Masahiro Tanaka tonight at Fenway Park.

The blistering Red Sox (9-1) look to beat back the rival Yankees (5-6) behind David Price (1-0, 0.00 ERA) tonight at Fenway Park (7:10 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-market) for their 10th straight victory after an Opening Day loss.

About tonight’s game: Can Price keep the streak going? Before the year, the ace-on-most-other-teams said he felt better than ever, and all he’s done this season is toss up bagels in the earned-run department. Some more of that could be useful against Masahiro Tanaka (1-1, 2.92 ERA), the venerable Yankees righty who’s usually a little better than you think.

Andrew Benintendi gets a planned night off after a big game at the plate, with hot-hitting Rafael Devers sliding up into the two-hole. Hanley Ramirez will DH, which puts Mitch Moreland in the lineup, batting fifth. For the Yankees, normal leadoff hitter Brett Gardner is back and playing center field, with lefty-smacker Tyler Austin DH’ing and hitting sixth.

About last night’s game: It was the platonic ideal of baseball, as the Sox beat the Yankees 14-1. Mookie Betts hit a grand slam, Chris Sale was electric and Boston pounded Luis Severino back to last week to start the season series off right.

Forecast, which I forgot yesterday: Low 40s, but clear.

A good tweet from yesterday:
