Who’s going to break out, or at least outperform expectations?

MLB: Spring Training-St. Louis Cardinals at Boston Red Sox Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

We are now on our last superlative of our mini preview of the upcoming season. After looking at MVP, Best Pitcher, Best Defensive Player, Unsung Hero and Biggest Disappointment. Now, we end it on a positive note as we look for the biggest surprise. To be clear, we mean this in a good way. We already did biggest disappointment. So, which player is going to outperform expectations and surprise everyone with his performance in the coming season. Will it be a previously established player bouncing back or someone who’s never gotten over the hump finally achieving a breakout. Or is it someone completely off the radar? Is it Marcus Walden? If you think so, I’ll have to add him to the poll below!
