Earlier today, we started our season preview superlatives series in which everyone takes part in a vote on a few different categories for different fake awards that will be fake handed out at the end of the year. We started with a relatively straight-forward (though open for interpretation) award with the MVP voting, but this time we’re going to move in a little bit of a different direction.
For this vote, we’ll be looking for the player who will be the Red Sox’ Unsung Hero in 2018. In other words, we’re looking for a player that is going to contribute plenty of value to the team in the coming year, but fly under the radar while doing. While there were only a handful of realistic options in our first vote, this one could go in a huge number of different directions. As it was before, let me know if the poll is missing who you’d like to vote for and I can jump in and add them to the list.
