MLB: Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports

Joining Matt and I this week on The Red Seat is Jen McCaffrey of MassLive. Jen joins us live from Ft. Myers where she is covering the team for spring training. She hooks us up with the latest news on the J.D. Martinez standoff, Blake Swihart’s transition to utility player, and Tyler Thornburg’s progress early in camp. We also discuss who will end up with the bulk of the time behind the plate and if Chris Sale’s new tweaks to his throwing program will pay off. Overall, this is an absolutely loaded show with a fantastic guest. I really can’t say enough about Jen’s work, so if you are not currently following her, do that here. Also you can follow her Red Sox writing at masslive.com. After Jen drops off the podcast, Matt and I cover off all the known details and implications of the Eduardo Nunez signing. Things are starting to happen and I couldn’t be more excited.

Stay with us this year for weekly podcasts on the team and more guest appearances by Boston media members, and potentially even some players. Thanks for listening to the show, please subscribe to the show on iTunes, Stitcher, or anywhere else you get your podcasts. If you enjoy the show, tell us how great we are with a five star review. Spread the word about the podcast and share the Red Sox goodness of this upcoming season with your friends and enemies.
