The Red Sox picked up a win on Friday night and brought their lead in the division back to 5.5 games, and now they'll look to extend that even more on Saturday afternoon. They have Drew Pomeranz on the bump for this one, and he'll be looking to continue what has been a phenomenal run in the Red Sox rotation. The lefty has been one of the most consistent starters in the American League, and though efficiency hasn't always been there he's been able to keep Boston in games essentially every time out. He'll have to do that again with Masahiro Tanaka on the mound for New York. While the Yankees righty hasn't been consistently great this year, the talent is still there and he's shown that more often than not of late. A win today would go a long way towards making September as stress-free as possible.
Go Sox!
