It wasn’t the most impressive outing for Mata this season, but it’s understandable considering how deep into the year it is. Plus, even for a subpar outing it’s not like it was a complete disaster. Perhaps more troubling is that the big bats in the Drive’s lineup couldn’t really come through with any big days, and they relied on their supporting cast to even keep it close. Even with the disappointing loss, the Drive remain at home on Friday as they try to take this best-of-five series in four games.
