The Red Sox are coming off two horrible, very bad, no good games. The pitching was awful for the second night in a row, and last night in particular the defense was horrendous. They need to be better than that, and fortunately we have a large sample in which they've shown they are better than that. It is especially important that they show that off tonight for a couple of reasons. For one, as I type this the Yankees are up 4-1 in Seattle in the seventh inning, so it looks like a loss by Boston will close the gap in the division. Secondly, my own sanity would appreciate the Red Sox avoiding a three-game skid. So, just go get a win. Okay?
Go Sox!
