Game 121 Gamethread: Red Sox vs. Yankees

Tonight (hopefully) starts the beginning of a series that could be the defining moment of the Red Sox season. They are about to start a tough week of baseball that includes the Yankees, Indians and Orioles. Meanwhile, after this the Yankees have a relatively easy slate of games. If the Red Sox take care of business this weekend, they should be looking at big cushion in the division that they'll be relatively comfortable for it only being August. That's not to say they'll have the division wrapped up, but things will obviously be easier to manage if they can pull out at least two of three at Fenway. Of course, that's even if they're able to play tonight. If the weather cooperates, they'll have the advantage in pitching with Drew Pomeranz taking on Jordan Montgomery.

Go Sox!
