Red Sox trade for Addison Reed

Dave Dombrowski sends three prospects for the Mets righty, who is good.

One day after a spectacular bullpen implosion, the Red Sox finally fulfilled the Farrell Prophecy, trading for Mets reliever Addison Reed, or so it appears. The return? Three pitching prospects who, Papi willing, you will not miss:

Reed, a righty, is a pure rental, with a contract that expires at season’s end. He strikes out basically a batter an inning and is stingy with the walks (6 so far in 49 frames), to the tune of a 2.57 ERA, which is delicious.
