Pawtucket G2 W 5-2

Brock Holt (DH): 1-3, 1 K

Pablo Sandoval: 1-3, 1 HR, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K

Steve Selsky: 0-3

Bryce Brentz: 1-3, 1 R, 1 K

Blake Swihart: 0-1, 2 BB, 1 R, 1 K

Aneury Tavarez: 1-3, 2 RBI, 2 K

Hector Velazquez: 6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 6 K

Brandon Workman: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K

It wasn’t clear when/if Holt was going to be able to return to baseball action, so it was a nice surprise to see him in Pawtucket’s lineup on Sunday. Hopefully he’ll be able to start getting some consistent playing time and can make his way back to the majors soon. Meanwhile, Sandoval and Peralta each homered in a positive step in the right direction. Tavarez is back in Pawtucket. Beeks had a great start that was shortened due to rain, and Brentz just keeps hitting. The man is on fire.

Portland G1 W 1-0

Danny Mars: 0-3

Josh Tobias: 0-3, 1 K

Rafael Devers (DH): 1-2, 1 BB

Michael Chavis (3B): 0-3, 1 K

Teddy Stankiewicz: 6 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K

Portland G2 W 10-3

Danny Mars: 3-4, 1 HR, 1 BB, 3 R, 2 RBI

Rafael Devers (3B): 2-4, 1 HR, 1 R, 2 RBI

Michael Chavis (DH): 1-4, 1 K

Josh Tobias: 1-4, 1 K

Hell of a game two from Mars, who hit just his third home run of the season and is now up to an .800 OPS for the year. Devers also went deep, but that isn’t really quite as surprising, if we’re being honest. Perhaps most impressive from Portland on Sunday was Stankiewicz. It’s been an up-and-down year for the righty, but he’s been good for one of these great performances about once a month.

Salem L 3-8

Austin Rei: 2-5, 1 RBI, 1 K

Josh Ockimey: 0-3, 2 BB, 3 K

Shaun Anderson: 2.1 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 3 K

It was a rough start for Anderson, though it’s not clear why he was taken out after only 51 pitches. It’s possible that it was just because of the struggles, although it doesn’t seem like he was pitching so bad that they’d take him out in the middle of the third. We’ll keep an eye on some possible reasons.

Greenville W 5-2

Lorenzo Cedrola: 1-3, 1 R, 1 RBI

Tyler Hill: 1-3, 1 RBI, 1 SB

Roldani Baldwin: 0-4, 1 K

Lowell L 2-3 (F/10)

Juan Barriento: 2-5, 2 K

Garrett Benge: 0-2, 2 BB, 1 K

GCL Red Sox L 4-8

Bobby Dalbec: 1-5, 1 R, 3 K

Tyler Esplin: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 R, 1 K

Kervin Suarez: 4-5, 1 K

Pedro Castellanos: 2-5, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 R, 3 RBI

Hey, look at that top name. Dalbec has been out since the beginning of May but is back on a rehab assignment now. It hasn’t been great so far, but just the fact that he’s back on the field is the most important thing. Meanwhile, Esplin — the team’s seventh round pick — made his professional debut on Saturday.

DSL Red Sox G1 T 0-0

Freiberg Marin: 2-4, 1 BB

Alejandro Rodriguez: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K

DSL Red Sox G2 W 10-5

Keibert Petit: 2-2, 2 R, 1 SB

Eduard Conte: 3-4, 1 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI

Willis Figueroa: 2-2, 2 BB, 2 R

Jesus Chacon: 2-4, 1 2B, 4 RBI
