Pretty great game all around from Pawtucket to impress the Patriots’ Danny Amendola, who was in attendance. They got contributions from up and down the lineup, impressively managing eleven runs with just two extra-base hits thanks to tremendous patience. Swihart’s multi-hit game was particularly encouraging. Also, shoutout to Haviland, who is not a prospect but a complete game shutout with no free passes is a legitimate accomplishment.

Portland W 14-8

Tzu-Wei Lin: 3-4, 2 2B, 1 HR, 2 BB, 2 R, 3 RBI, 1 K

Rafael Devers: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 BB, 2 R, 2 RBI

Nick Longhi: 2-4, 2 2B, 1 BB, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 K

Huge day for the SeaDogs lineup, with a total of nine doubles for the unit all together, including at least one for each of the three big prospects on the roster. Lin’s day obviously stands out here because of the added home run, and it’s nice to see his breakout season extending into June, albeit with some time missed due to injury mixed in there. Add in big days from Devers and Longhi, it was a fun day in Portland.

Michael Chavis: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K

Josh Ockimey: 0-4, 2 K

Trenton Kemp: 1-4, 1 R, 1 K

Austin Rei: 2-3, 1 2B

Another day, another home run for Chavis. There’s not much more to say about this guy’s breakout season. It’s arguably the most encouraging development in Boston’s minor-league system.

Greenville W 5-3

Tyler Hill: 1-5, 1 K

Roldani Baldwin: 3-4, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K

Thursday was the second straight day without Lorenzo Cedrola after he was pulled in the first inning of Tuesday’s game. There was speculation that was about not running out a ground ball, but after this missed time it seems that theory may have been off. We’ll keep an eye out for injury news.
