Generations of baseball fans, and everyone else really, have grown up knowing the joy of realizing that Who is a person thanks to the Abbot and Costello comedy routine “Who’s on First?”
The Red Sox and Bank of America thought they could pay homage to one of the greatest baseball jokes of all time in an ad that would help introduce fans to the new Sox ace, Chris Sale. With the help of David Price and Steven Wright, Sale tries to hand out ice cream and ends up having a bit of a hard time, thanks so some clever wording.
Those kids didn’t know what hit them.
And if you haven’t seen or heard the original routine in a while...it’s still just as good as you remember.
Of a more immediate matter though: is I Don’t Know available? The Red Sox could sure use a steady hand at third.
