Red Sox at Royals lineup: Can the prodigy wreak havoc?

The infamous Chris Sale takes the mound tonight in Kansas City.

There ain’t no such thing as halfway crooks.
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox (39-31) look to score some runs — any runs — for ace Chris Sale (2.82 ERA) when they square off against the Royals (34-35) tonight in Kansas City (8:15 p.m., NESN). Lefty Matt Strahm (3.67 ERA), whatever that is, starts for KC. Pablo Sandoval is on the DL with an ear infection which... shouldn’t hurt the team too much tonight, or any other night. Given the Royals are starting a southpaw, Andrew Benintendi and Mitch Moreland sit for Chris Young and Sam Travis, respectively. Lefty-killer Josh Rutledge plays second, while Deven Marrero starts at third.

In music news, which is the real reason you’re here, RIP to a legend. There ain’t no such thing as halfway crooks, now or ever. Spark the Philly: Here are the full lineups.
