After a disappointing night on Saturday in which the Red Sox struggled in all areas of the game, they can still salvage a win against MLB’s best with a win on Sunday Night Baseball. They’ll be looking for a bounce-back performance from David Price in order to win, as he’s struggled since coming back from the disabled list. The good news is his stuff has been there in all of his outings, it’s just been a matter of location. In particular he’s been walking far too many hitters, which is extremely uncharacteristic of Price.
On offense, hopefully they can get a bit of a kickstart from Hanley Ramirez, who returns to the lineup after a three-game absence. Of course, the designated hitter hasn’t really been too dynamic at the plate this season, but he took a similar course in 2016. Things turned out pretty alright then, so we’ll see if he can have a similar turnaround this year. The rest of the lineup, which goes up against Joe Musgrove, can be seen here.
