With Don Orsillo calling tonight’s game against the Houston Astros, let’s look back on his years with Jerry Remy on NESN covering the Red Sox. The two friends shared so many moments with Red Sox Nation during their time together.
In no particular order, some of the greats:
June 14, 2014: Tom Hallion's strike three gesture to the Cleveland Indians Yan Gomes sends the booth into hysterics. It’s a good motion.
June 3, 2015: Remy gives Orsillo a new lamp during a game against the Minnesota Twins.
August 1, 2015: A fan can’t figure out how to work his poncho. He might get wet.
September 26, 2015: Don wants to enjoy the fresh air. Remy disagrees. A play in three acts.
June 14, 2014: Don teaches Jerry how to take a selfie.
Jimmy Remy showed up again when the Kansas City Royals were in town.
July 2, 2014: Don becomes a dentist.
And of course...
April 16, 2007: “Here comes the pizza.” The Don and Jerry moment that will truly live forever.
Is there a Don and Jerry memory that sticks out for you?
