The Red Sox start a four-game set in Baltimore tonight, and with the left-handed Wade Miley on the mound for the birds Boston sends out their right-handed heavy lineup. It’s the right strategy, but given the injury situation with the team right now it’s not the strongest of groups. They have Chris Young batting second tonight, the highest the outfielder has hit since coming over to Boston. They also have Sam Travis moving up to the number five spot in the lineup.
The good news is Miley has not been as great in May as he was in April and seems to be a pitcher the Red Sox should be able to score some runs off. Of course, we all know these things don’t always work according to plan. Boston counters with Eduardo Rodriguez who looks to continue his great 2017 against his old organization. Baltimore’s lineup is pretty much as you’d expect it, minus Welington Castillo, who is on the disabled list.
