Red Sox at Twins lineup: Chris Sale vs. Ervin Santana is a battle of the AL’s best

The Sox will look to build on their offensive explosion from yesterday, but it won’t be easy.

The Red Sox try to split this weekend’s series with the Twins today at 2:10 p.m. in Minnesota, one day after the bats finally, belatedly came alive, if only for an afternoon. It might be harder to put up another crooked number for Chris Sale today, as the fast-working elastic genius takes on Ervin Santana, the veteran pitcher with a 0.66 ERA currently in the midst of the best stretch of his career.

John Farrell has, unsurprisingly, run out mostly the reshuffled lineup that was able to score runs yesterday. Deven Marrero replaces Josh Rutledge at third base, and Joe Mauer sits for Minnesota.
