Red Sox vs. Rangers lineup: Can Boston crash the Andrew Cashner party?

What does the orb say?

MLB: Texas Rangers at Boston Red Sox
Do it again!
Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

The up-and-down Red Sox (22-21) welcome the red-hot Texas Rangers (24-21) tonight at Fenway Park for the first game of a three-game series and six-game homestand (7:05 p.m., NESN).

Texas just came off a 10-game winning streak, and they’re always pesky against Boston. Reigning Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello (4.23 ERA), suffering through a “slightly disappointing year,” per Over the Monster site manager Matt Collins’s series preview, will look to get back on track against Rangers righty Andrew Cashner (2.45 ERA). While Cashner’s ERA looks good, the underlying stats indicate that he’s due to regress. You can choose trust me on that or see the specifics in Matt’s writeup. We’d love the extra click.

Status quo in the batting order. It’s time to start winning some ballgames, I think. I feel good about tonight. This is a good team, and it’s about time they showed it. Here are the full lineups:
