We knew it was going to happen, and it happened. Fresh off a 12-inning victory in Chris Sale’s first start, a win sparked by Sandy Leon’s walkoff home run, the Sox can officially sleep in, as today’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates has been postponed. The game will be made up a week from today.
The Red Sox play the first of four (!) 1:05 p.m. starts in a row in Detroit tomorrow, weather permitting. Here’s some rainy day music. Go back to sleep, if you’d like:
