Come, and let Zoltar predict the season. Better yet, we’ve chosen to outsource this particular line of predictions to you, the OTM viewers. I predict great results in our future.

Well, here we are. The regular season. When this post goes live, the season will be just the upcoming weekend away. And since weekends always go by so quickly, the season may as well be tomorrow.

With the season fast approaching, it’s time to ask the question that I’m sure we’re all wondering about.

This weekend’s topic is:

What are your season predictions for both the Red Sox, and MLB as a whole? Who do you think will win the major awards or the World Series? Will any big moves happen? Who will be the first manager fired? Be creative, and write us a story, if you are the creative type.

This is an extremely open ended prompt. You can be as detailed or as vague as you want. If you only want to talk about how the Red Sox are doomed because of all the injuries, that’s fine. It would make me very sad, but it works. On the other hand, if you are more of a “big picture” kind of guy/gal, then feel free to talk about how the Diamondbacks are going to be a surprise in 2017. As for the creativity thing, if you want to write an epic about how Mitch Moreland is going to break the home run record in 2017, go ahead, this part is entirely dependent on your imagination.

There are only a couple rules:

  1. You do have to talk about the Red Sox. It’s a pain, I know, but we’re a Red Sox fan blog first, and on Red Sox fan blogs, you write about the Red Sox. It’s just what you do.
  2. You have to talk about 2017. Not 2018. Not 2030. Not 2016. Not 1998. You have to speak about the upcoming Major League Baseball season. You may expand to talk about the minor leagues, but you must write about the major leagues, first and foremost.

Below, I have attached something you may copy/paste to use in your FanPosts, it is just a format tool for those who have no idea how to format.
