With Drew Pomeranz headed to the 10-day DL after another shaky outing, he may still make his April 9 start, but the Kyle Kendrick era looms. The Sox hope not to use Kendrick at the major league level to open the season, but he’s been good this spring and will get a final preseason outing under his belt today at 1:05 p.m. today at JetBlue Park (WEEI) against the Nats. If you’re concerned about Big Pom, pay attention. Meanwhile, the big boys will look to provide run support:

  1. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
  2. Andrew Benintendi, LF
  3. Mookie Betts, RF
  4. Hanley Ramirez, DH
  5. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
  6. Xander Bogaerts, SS
  7. Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
  8. Christian Vazquez, C
  9. Brock Holt, 1B, \o/

Starting Pitcher: Kyle Kendrick

Joe Ross starts for the Nationals, which gives us one of our final chances to be silly before the real games begin. Enjoy the like-a-Ross soundtrack, and talk about the game in the comments:
