I was perhaps overly proud of myself for putting together the Pedey/Pablo pun the other day, which is, again, a reference to this. With Xander Bogaerts batting behind them for today’s game “at Baltimore,” which is of course not in Baltimore but in Sarasota, at Ed Smith Stadium, the margarine name of which I will always cherish. The game’s at 1:05 p.m. and allegedly on ESPN in Baltimore, which means... well, I don’t know what it means for your home market, honestly. Check your local listings. It’ll build character.
These are the rough riders mounting up for the Sox today:
- Dustin Pedroia, 2B
- Pablo Sandoval, 3B
- Xander Bogaerts, SS
- Hanley Ramirez, DH
- Mitch Moreland, 1B
- Brock Holt, LF, \o/
- Steve Selsky, CF
- Sandy Leon, C
- Bryce Brentz, RF
Staring Pitcher: Eduardo Rodriguez
The Orioles counter with Tyler Wilson, who exists, at least. But can he handle this?:
