2017 Red Sox Preview: Who will be the biggest disappointment on the Red Sox?

When we look back on this season, who will make us sad?

MLB: Spring Training-Boston Red Sox at Pittsburgh Pirates Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

Earlier this morning, I started our little superlatives series with the Team MVP. I’m going to do two of these a day so we can be done by Thursday and I have time to recap them on Friday. While the first one was a positive prediction, this one goes in the opposite direction. Who will be the most disappointing player on the Red Sox.

Clearly, this means something different than who will be the worst player on the team. In that case, I imagine everyone would vote for the last man on the bench of the mop-up guy in the bullpen. No, this is for the player who the majority of people think will at least be okay this season but finish the year way below expectations. There are a ton of possibilities on this one, so I’m going to open up the voting to 15 spots. If there is still someone I left out, let me know in the comments.
