Baseball is coming. Ho-mer! The Baltimore Rav--Orioles. Major League Baseball and HBO are celebrating Game of Thrones at ballparks across the country this summer and Fenway is one of them.

Whether you like fantasy, giant ice walls, large pets, or paying back your debts, Game of Thrones has something for everyone. And this year, as the hit show enters its seventh season, the magic is coming to ballparks all over the country.

The details aren’t out yet but given the participation so far - 19 teams - per Deadline it should be big.

Stuffed Wallywolves? Three-eyed gold chains for Hanley? Brock Hodor?

For the Red Sox, celebrating George R.R. Martin’s world comes just a few months after one of its players voyaged down the Kingsroad to Philadelphia.

A few years ago our friends at DRaysBay put together a comparison of teams to characters from the show. The Red Sox were Margaery Tyrell. The Yankees were, of course, the Lannisters. If you’ve been watching the show since then, well...

All-in-all it’s not a bad comp for a family/team that’s a number two and has to deal with a family that thinks it's baseball’s gift to itself and loves telling everyone just how many rings it has.

We don’t know the dates yet but Game of Thrones is a summer show in 2017. July? Right in the heat of summer is the perfect time for a Winter Is Coming(TM) Red Sox slush. Grab your bear-handled sword (or ax-handled bat) and head to Fenway and watch Mookie Betts hit one north of the wall.
