One day after he cemented himself as “the greatest player the Grapefruit League has ever seen,” per our own Matt Collins, and two days after he hit a big ol’ donger, Sam Travis finds himself in the starting lineup for the Red Sox for today’s 1:05 p.m. game (WEEI) against the split-squad Astros. Here’s the full lineup:

  1. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
  2. Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
  3. Mookie Betts, RF
  4. Hanley Ramirez, DH
  5. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
  6. Sam Travis, 1B
  7. Allen Craig, LF
  8. Sandy Leon, C
  9. Deven Marrero, SS

SP: Eduardo Rodriguez

Brad Peacock starts for the Astros:

Former Red Sox legend Josh Reddick bats third for Houston, with Evan Gattis, the only current or former major leaguer with whom I’ve gotten paralytically drunk, batting cleanup.
