Red Sox vs. Yankees lineup: A rivalry game falls in the woods

If you’re not at JetBlue Park, you won’t see it.

MLB: Spring Training-New York Mets at Boston Red Sox

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

A split-squad group of Yankees rolls into Fort Myers this afternoon, one likely of such typical filth and squalor, even for them, that the baseball goddz have decided, in their wisdom infinite, that this 1:05 p.m. game shall not be televised. Who am I to argue, other than a paying customer to both MLB.tv and the YES Network, via my cable package? (Shape up, dinguses. Point a Persicope at it.)

Anyhow, today’s starting lineup for Boston Red Sox is mostly dingus-free:

  1. Brock Holt, SS \o/
  2. Andrew Benintendi, LF
  3. Hanley Ramírez, DH
  4. Mitch Moreland, 1B
  5. Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
  6. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
  7. Brian Bogusevic, RF
  8. Christian Vazquez, C
  9. Devin Marrero, 2B

P: Kyle Kendrick

I really like the Kendrick signing. I won’t read too much into what he does today, but if he can make it through spring training he might forever save us the sight of Henry Owens, peace be upon him.

The Yankees counter today with a bunch of buttheads, as usual.
