Today, we get to see the debut of Hector Velazquez, a player we signed over the long, arduous winter. We don’t know a whole lot about him, other than that he’s a righty, and that he pitched well in Mexico, especially last year. He takes on a Rays lineup that seems light, even for a spring training game against the Rays.
The Red Sox, on the other hand, bring out a bevvy of major league talent, or at least depth that could make an impact on the major league team.
- Brock Holt, SS
- Andrew Benintendi, LF
- Allen Craig, DH
- Jackie Bradley Jr, CF
- Sam Travis, 1B
- Blake Swihart, C
- Bryce Brentz, RF

- Chris Dominguez, 3B
Starting Pitcher - Hector Velazquez
Game starts at 1:05 PM ET, and can be watched on NESN, supposedly! Spring Training ball.
EDIT - 5:12 PM PT - A previous version of this article claimed Velazquez was a lefty, which was not correct. This has been fixed. Woops!
